Decision on Accreditation Following a Visit

The visiting team’s report and their vote on Standards is forwarded to the full VAIS Accreditation Committee for review. The Accreditation Committee makes a recommendation on accreditation to the VAIS Board of Directors and determines additional reporting that may be required by the school. All decisions concerning accreditation rest with the VAIS Board.
 
Decision Following an Initial Visit:
At the conclusion of an initial visit the Accreditation Committee may make the following recommendations to the Board:
1. Full accreditation
2. Provisional accreditation
3. Denied accreditation
 
Decision Following an Interim or Ten Year Visit: 
At the conclusion of an interim or ten year visit the Accreditation Committee may make the following recommendations to the Board:
1. Full accreditation
2. Conditional accreditation
3. Denied accreditation
