 SPEAKERS:

Maggie Jackson is the Director of Admission at Hawken Upper School in Gates Mills, OH. Maggie joined Hawken in 2018 from a position abroad, where she served as Dean of Teaching and Learning and, later, as Assistant Head of School at an international school. Prior to her work abroad, Maggie worked in college admissions in the Midwest for nearly a decade and received her Master’s Degree in Education. The third generation of women in her family to believe and work in progressive education, Maggie was drawn to Hawken for its history of whole-child education, its dedication to character development, and its promise to value and grow students who go out into the world and do good things.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Maggie quickly became versed in pivoting large-scale admission events into virtual programming and began presenting on the topic for the Association for Independent School Admission Professionals (AISAP) and other professional organizations. She is also the author of a whitepaper on the topic. Since that time, Maggie has been invited to speak and present on admission events and virtual open houses in an effort to share information throughout the profession during these challenging times.
